Jammer Direct was built on the premise of independent music for the underground. In order to protect our artists, Jammer Direct (now known as Jammunity LLC on a corporate level) is forced to file its first emergency court injunction (Indiana Case # 02D01-1102-PL-000063). A group of individuals, acting as a separate entity, attempt to literally steal the brand known as Jammer Direct by registering an LLC company under a similar name. The pseudo-LLC was established in an attempt to take the member database for a company that had already set a price for paid memberships. The aforementioned LLC went out of business after the owner of the initial company created yet another subsidiary company under a different LLC in order to sell it and protect himself from further legal issues. Jammer Direct was then counter-sued by the defendants who formally requested a stipulation admitting the actual Jammer Direct was in the right but the defendants still wanted $20,000,000 to give up their counter-suit. Within two months the lawyer for the defendants had resigned due to a 'breakdown in attorney/client relationship' soon after the defendants refused to answer any interrogatories and the opposing counsel suing the defendants for costs incurred on the attempted theft of Jammer Direct as a brand (Indiana Case # 02D03-1311-CC-001790). The law firm involved in this suit representing the defendants won a judgement against said defendants in the amount of almost $15,000, which, as of 2021, has yet to be paid. This resulted in a final and unequivocal court victory and a legal triumph not only for Jammer Direct as a brand and an entity but for every single artist past, present, and future to safely post their personal and professional data and artistic creations without the fear of having said data being sold and distributed without permission for personal profit from unscrupulous person(s) on this or any other similar organization. Both cases can be researched by going to https://mycase.in.gov and searching for the following court case numbers: 02D01-1102-PL-000063 & 02D03-1311-CC-001790. This injunction and the resulting vexatious counterclaim are a testament not only to the lengths that Jammer Direct goes to achieve its overall mission but also to protect every single person, artist, and artistic entity that Jammer Direct is involved with. The original public court ruling document enforcing the permanent injunction protecting not only the data and files of the company but also of every artist involved can be read HERE. -
