Jamar Langley has dropped his new video for the track titled ‘Highlight Girl’. That magic that was captured in the classics within Motown and Soul are alive and well in the music of Jamar Langley. Each instrument conveys that beat bravado and swaggered swing with each note written and recorded with that certain something that not every artist has but every musician flaunts. And Jamar is a true musician.

Sunstack Jones – How It All Went Down
Initially conceived by Chrisy, Lorcan, and Richy as a songwriting project – self-releasing two homespun LP’s and receiving airplay from BBC Radio 2 courtesy of Mark Radcliffe. Following a few singles with Liverpool’s Eighties Vinyl Records (The La’s/The Stairs/The Sand Band), 2016 saw Dave and Jules complete the lineup, evolving into a fully fledged live band.
An EP later that year was followed by a third self-titled LP, produced by long time collaborator Paul Den Heyer and mastered by Nick McCabe (The Verve), released in 2018 on Deltasonic Records (The Coral/The Zutons). This LP received a glowing 4 Star review in Mojo Magazine and featured on the Steve Lamacq BBC Radio 6 playlist with the single ‘By The By’.
Golden Repair is the band’s fourth LP & the first to be released by Mai 68 Records. Formed from sprawling jams during soundchecks & rehearsals, lyrics & harmonies worked out during long van journeys whilst on tour with US Alt-rock stalwarts Buffalo Tom, the result is a record that is more than the sum of its parts; five friends as a collective, playing in a room, together.
In order to capture this vibe effectively, the band decided to record live at Faktory Studios, standing in a circle facing each other was key. You can hear it in every note of the album; no mixing out creaks & coughs, with just the right amount of bleed. Recorded beautifully by Simon Jones (The Verve), the final mixes from longtime collaborator Paul Den Heyer sound exactly like the band envisaged, a moment in time captured like a sonic photograph.
‘Nowhere Near an Ocean’ started as an enveloping riff thrown out on the fly, the band easing into a groove & crashing into simultaneous changes on the day in the studio. It was quickly committed to tape in a couple of takes with improvised lyrics & instinctive harmonies. Proof that the first idea is often the best idea.
‘Where You Gonna Go’ is the first Sunstack Jones track to feature a three-part harmony, devised on a long drive to Holland for a festival performance & introducing a new dynamic to the band.
The two singles preceding the LP release introduce the recurring lyrical themes visited throughout the album. Living in the here & now rather than being caught up in nostalgia for times that have passed, yet longing to be far away from the unavoidable frustration & anger of living in an unfair & unjust society.

First Look: Harper and the Moths – Your Love (360° Music Video)
What began as a remote recording project between friends in early 2013 has morphed into the Phoenix-based dance rock band Harper and the Moths. On July 5th, the quartet will release their debut album Dark Enough To Dance, 12 tracks that deliver glittery, all-night anthems with infusions of new-wave and post-punk.
Vocalist Harper Lines and his “Moths” (who just so happen to have an affinity for staying up late), began work on the album after Lines went through the downward spiral of a serious relationship ending. When things got ugly, the fallout became his inspiration, and his outlet was music. The first single “Your Love” was written to provide closure to anyone who is at the end of a relationship, struggling to see their inner light.
“I wanted to create a pop song that addresses the audience when they’re feeling like they aren’t enough or don’t have the strength to make a difficult but necessary decision,” says Lines.
“Your Love” was released on June 4th with an impressive 360° music video. Taken in two separate takes, Harper and the Moths and several friends & dancers, transport the viewer through a fully-immersive, changing party scene. The viewer can follow whichever character they like through the whole thing and watch again for special Easter eggs.
Harper and the Moths have released three EP’s and a number of singles. Songs like “Walking Through Fire,” “Lose My Touch,” and a cover of Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me,” continue to be Arizona radio, Spotify playlist, and Soundcloud favorites.
On Dark Enough To Dance, the band recruited the talents of recording engineer, Jeremy Parker (Evanescence, Godsmack), and producer duo ESCQ (Cutcraft Music Group). What came together in various sessions over another 6 months has resulted in a great soundtrack to dance away any future heartaches.
“Harper and the Moths bring dance club energy into their vibrant synth pop and the vocal harmonies on this new single will have you ready to join the singalong whether in your car, at a bar, or just jamming out in the privacy of your own home.”
– YabYum Music“Beautifully captivating and playful in the melody, seasoned with nice brass.”
– PopMuzick“Harper and the Moths have got a plan and it has nothing to do with being confounding or bland”
– Glide Magazine“the full-throated falsetto of Harper Lines that makes everything seem like an all-night party machine”

Beauty in Chaos – The Delicate Balance Of All Things (Rapid Reiteration Mix)
Beauty in Chaos has today released their new video for the remix track titled ‘The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ (Rapid Reiteration Mix).
We also have an exclusive interview with Michael Ciravolo, Wayne Hussey, and Cinthya Hussey on how the video came to be and how it was filmed while staying safe in the age of COVID.
Check out the entire interview HERE.
‘The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ (Rapid Reiteration Mix) and video is clearly a massive departure for BIC in both video and audio realms. The video, for one, was shot remotely using an entirely different crew in Brazil and, besides the obvious that Beauty in Chaos’ Michael Ciravolo is not in the video, the departure is in the style and execution.
The track is even more of a complete departure stylistically from what has come before. Now featuring Cinthya Hussey on lead vocals, Wayne on background vocals, and astonishing guitar work by Nick Johnston, is a stellar mix of darkness, suave, and the world, in places you would never expect. The bass gives off an almost ‘Peter Gabriel’ vibe at times before snapping into place in lockstep with the beat that, at times, drags you into the hook but in a good way.
To me, this is an almost Pink Floyd level shift sonically and visually that gives a hint that Beauty in Chaos is becoming comfortable at being different.

ABOUT BEAUTY IN CHAOS & ‘THE DELICATE BALANCE OF ALL THINGS’ (RAPID REITERATION MIX) FT. CINTHYA HUSSEY
The original version of this song, penned by BIC curator Michael Ciravolo and The Mission’s Wayne Hussey, appears on ‘The Storm Before The Calm’ album. Along with BIC producer Michael Rozon, Ciravolo set out to strip down the ominous tone of the original especially for this remix release. After hearing Wayne’s wife Cinthya’s rendition of The Smith’s ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’, the idea emerged for her to sing this new version along with Wayne.
This remix was created by legendary producer Tim Palmer (David Bowie, The Mission, U2, The Cure). BIC main-man, Michael Ciravolo says “Tim has always been one of my favorite producers … and one of the silver-linings of this lockdown is that he has time to do this and two other remixes for our new album”.
Far from being a typical band, with its revolving/evolving lineup, videos are truly the ‘face’ of BIC. Ciravolo’s goal is to make each visually different from its predecessor and this new video certainly checks that box!
“When we returned the track, the delicate balance of all things, to Michael with Cinthya’s newly-completed vocals, Michael’s reaction was to declare he loved it and that we had to shoot a video for this version, remixed by the redoubtable Tim Palmer,” said Wayne Hussey.
“With the option of traveling to LA to shoot out of the question due to current Covid-19 restrictions, Cinthya, being in the trade somewhat, contacted a few of her colleagues to ascertain who exactly might be interested in helping us shoot a video in Sao Paulo. Enter the Antipodean Mark Bromilow. Mark and Cinthya had previously acted together on a Kit-Kat advert and had remained friends. The many credits to his name include time spent as artistic director for Cirque De Soleil, where he met the Brazilian Natalia Presser, the featured aerial artist in this video.”
“Locations were scouted, Cinthya having the idea of filming in an old theatre or abandoned warehouse – somewhere strange – while Mark came up with the idea of filming in a currently-closed-down-due-to-Covid circus in Sao Paulo. So the Big Top it was. Using David Lynch as inspiration, we aimed for the video to evoke something otherworldly and magical. So, how did we do?”
The full 27-track collection of the ‘Out Of Chaos Comes…’ LP (available on CD) is deep and diverse and comes with a few surprises, including Ashton Nyte’s gorgeous acoustic version of ‘The Outside’, and an acoustic/mellotron drenched ‘Memory Of Love’ from Human Drama’s Johnny Indovina. There are also some new and fantastic guitar moments from Simon Hinkler (The Mission), Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses), Mark Gemini Thwaite (Peter Murphy. The Wonder Stuff), and Nick Johnston.
‘Out Of Chaos Comes… is now available on vinyl (8 tracks), CD (14 tracks), and digitally (27 tracks). The full digital version is included with an LP / CD purchase. Limited-edition colored vinyl also includes an exclusive cover-art poster, signed by many of the artists involved. It can be ordered in its various formats HERE.
