Born in Nigeria but now based in London, Michael Rhodes is a singer who channels the gospel and soul sounds of the 1960s, bringing joy and vibrancy to his songs, as well as imbuing them with his winning personality. Feel It is a self-composed track which sees Michael in full effect, with his soaring counter-tenor voice and upbeat tempo being hard to resist.
Written by Michael three years ago, Feel It is based on unrequited love which, rather than defeating Michael, sparked something of an awakening and led to him looking for happiness in everyday life wherever he could find it – something he hopes will inspire others to do the same. Though Feel It is rooted in a soul and gospel singing style, the inclusion of electronic horns adds a contemporary feel, without it sounding quite like anything else out there.
To support the track’s release, Michael performed a live showcase at St. Luke’s Church, Kentish Town, London, video footage of which demonstrates Michael’s ease with an audience and ability to express himself through his music. With further tracks ready for release and looking to play live across the UK, Michael Rhodes is a singer with real potential and whose passion and sincerity set him apart from the crowd.

The Body Politic – Parasoul
Canadian progressive metal outfit The Body Politic has premiered a new music video for the single, “Parasoul”. The song comes from their 2017 contr:addiction EP, which broke the progressive metal mold and revealed the most sophisticated songwriting the band has accomplished to date.
“’Parasoul’ is a song about pain. Our director Mike perfectly captured the bitterness, sadness, and anger in the song with his treatment of the video. Our latest album explores the world of addiction, and how substance abuse only temporarily masks pain,” commented drummer, Spencer Bowman. “A parallel can be drawn to the video for ‘Parasoul’ as it illustrates how vengeance is unsatisfying, and only masks the damage that motivates it. If revenge is used as the antidote, the pain remains.”
Twisting energetic chaos with melodic soulful solos, the band aims to bring something new to the metal world.
About The Body Politic:
Originating on Vancouver Island, The Body Politic is a six-piece powerhouse of poly-metric grooves, aggressive screams, and soaring vocal melodies, pushing the boundaries of modern metal music. The members honed their craft in post-secondary music programs while recording their first full-length release All Too Human (2011). The album and the subsequent touring put them on the map in Canadian progressive metal and led them to open spots for bands like Tesseract, Protest The Hero, and Scale The Summit. The Body Politic solidified their position as one of Canada’s most vibrant independent metal acts with their second release Egressor (2014). This album was a leap forward in both technical musicianship and raw, honest emotion. The video for the lead single titled ‘All Hands’ was supported by Much Music and premiered on Much.ca. The extensive tour cycle that followed this release propelled the band to new heights in the Canadian music scene, and due to the press that this album generated, the band gained dedicated fans in Europe and the United States.
In 2017, The Body Politic released their most anticipated album thus far. contr:addiction (2017) deals with the most personal and emotional subject matter to date. With this album, The Body Politic breaks the progressive metal mold. Mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood – a process completely funded by fans via an IndieGoGo campaign – these songs reconceive what progressive metal can be, and reveal the most sophisticated songwriting the band has ever accomplished.
On stage and in the studio, The Body Politic brings a new kind of energy to progressive metal. They challenge the status quo. They innovate. They redefine.

Third Frame – POCKETMAN (Love Hustler Remix)
About Third Frame
The Third Frame was formed in 1997 by Ry Gizzy and Ddlux who met in high school in 1990 and formed a bond that has proven to be 25 years strong now. We started playing basement parties with our 1st DJ for a couple years or so and started getting used to being in front of people. We had some crazy parties I even remember 1 that the whole basement was half filled with those packing Peanutz it was really fun to swim. We made a lot of friends and made our name Third Frame in the scene early because Ry Gizzy and Lux have a dope chemistry. Then Ddlux and Ry Gizzy started playing some live gigs at Fort Wayne, Indiana area bar Columbia Street West with a popular rock band @ the time. Then we hooked up with a mutual friend from high school which only seemed right and felt good @ the time because he was a very talented musician. We then proceeded to perfect our craft @ playing out and did so for five years straight 2-3 shows a week sometimes for free drinks and a little money if we were lucky.
During that time we made and released 3 CDs, made another rock n roll band “White Trash Disco” so we had an opener, made a video, and played with several national acts. Then Ddlux met Leok3 and DJ Spot and introduced them to Ry Gizzy. We all kinda just clicked together and started making music again because it was fun again and no other reason than that. Soon Spot became our third DJ and for us, we think the third time is a charm. So here we love it or hate it but we will not stop making music until our last breaths. So until then, we wanna thank all the fans and people who enjoy listening to the music we love you…

SNKT – Lost in Love
SNKT has just released his new single and video titled ‘Lost in Love’. Take this for what you will, but, this is a fun song. It’s not so much in your face but it is wildly infectious. SNKT’s vocals are stellar in an original popstar fashion and perfectly compliment the music. And that music, while steady, is signature. Coming from a new artist, having found his sound really shows where SNKT is headed. And it’s atmospheric.
ABOUT SNKT
SNKT is the stage name of Stockholm-based artist Jack O’Connor, but while his alias comes from a Swedish word for ‘saint’, O’Connor is far from anointed as he unpacks sins across his upcoming debut No Saints.
Born and raised in Ireland, O’Connor began writing and producing music in university, pulling from his country’s gift for storytelling with a coming-of-age soundtrack by Robyn, Kate Bush, and The Knife. Taking from his experiences discovering his queer identity along with the rush of an Irish college experience, SNKT inherently began as a project born out of club pop adoration met with searingly candid confessionals.
“I realized that when you’re the one with the pen, you can easily portray yourself in the best light possible,” O’Connor adds. “I found myself being more honest in terms of writing where I saw faults in both parties. This is where I thought of the ‘saint’ idea, in that there were no saints in these relationships.”
Considering the personal nature of his latest batch of songs, O’Connor decided to approach No Saints as its sole writer and producer after working with Grammy Award-winning producer Philip Larsen among others. The end result is one of the most fully formed, ebullient pop debuts in recent memory anchored by O’Connor’s deft vision of heartfelt dance music.
Lead single “Lost in Love” is peak club hours excellence in an alternate universe where dancefloors are unencumbered by lockdowns. Written during an isolating period this past summer, “Love” finds O’Connor grappling with the pandemic alongside the end of a fleeting romance doomed from the get-go. Love and lust factor heavily across No Saints, but at its core, SNKT’s debut is a document of unvarnished personal growth and acceptance in real-time.
“I feel like this record is very me,” O’Connor concludes. “Growing up gay in Ireland had its challenges, though I learned so much of myself through music, and I feel this record is, in part, a tribute to all the great music I was raised on that gave me strength when I was weak. Through this record, I was able to truly be my unashamed gay self and I hope to be able to spread the same joy that I was able to hear and feel in my teenage years to anyone who’s going through a rough time.”
