Urn has also completed the writing process on their sixth album which is tentatively entitled “;”(Semicolon) and have been in talks with Thom Hazaert (Thom Hazaert Company/Ellefson Music Productions) to produce the upcoming album with a potential 2018 release date. The band also is in the process of booking tours that will have them return to Canada and Mexico in 2018.
“Many fans had given feedback that this song was one of their more favorites off of the album, so we wished to honor them by doing this video. We also wished to showcase our guitarist, Christopher Migdalski’s lead work on this song, as he has been a role model for those afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease and how to overcome disabilities to still pursue his life dream. Our hope is that this will inspire those to continue on in their battle and achieve whatever dreams/goals that they have.”

Seramic – Angeline
“Sexiness” is the only way to describe Londoner Seramic’s new single Angeline, which today gets a new video. Those who are familiar with future R&B star’s existing videos will soon notice a few recognizable faces.
Speaking about the video, Seramic explains “I wanted to be really ambitious and make something epic with this video as Angeline is one of my favorite songs. To continue some of the themes in my previous work depicting strong women, dancing and sports locations, we had the idea of shooting something in a stadium and were so excited when we found Lee Valley Athletics center. I had previously worked with two out of the three leads in the video; Anna Kay-Gayle (Keep On Breaking My Heart) and Jessie Jing (Same Mistakes). I hadn’t worked with Erin Jameson before but it was something I was really keen to do for some while and ultimately, managing to cast the three of them as the central characters were incredibly exciting.”
“It’s also the first video I have made where I utilized my sculptural practice. I made all of these trophies, medals, and banners in the first and last shot out of dumpling steamers, objects, ribbon, and Kazoos. The video was co-directed by Guy Gotto”.
Listeners can find two Seramic EPs online (Found & I Got You) which already show an expansive body of work, rich in a varied range of influences. It’s fitting that he’s a professional sculptor also, as each of his three-dimensional artworks is somehow playful and at the same time imposing: he favors dramatic, lively colors and surreal forms. In his off-kilter pop songs, you’ll find the same exuberant quality, a mixture of the familiar and the eye-poppingly uncanny. There are few other artists who can boast that they have both performed with The Roots on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show and have been exhibited at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery. His live performances as Seramic has already seen him play Radio 1’s Big Weekend & support Jack Garratt & Bear’s Den across the UK.
You can also find Seramic’s recent art outside of music via ASYMBAL, which is a collaborative project by William Redgrove and himself. It explores the bringing together of communities and cultures to form a new kind of visual language.

Pure Phase Ensemble 6 ft. Anton Newcombe – God Drugs (Live at SpaceFest!)
Capturing the essence of a live show is never easy. A lot of footage gives the impression that some of the artists are phoning it in, actually. But not the case with Pure Phase Ensemble 6 ft. Anton Newcombe and the new video for the live version of “God Drugs”. This is more of an artistic immersion. An immersion delving further and further into an event that is every bit an experience as it is a concert. While giving off the vibe of the sonic successor to Woodstock and Altamont, this glimpse into a live performance of musical storytellers and mood-setters gives a glimpse of solid emotion set physically on a stage. A stage of imagination.
About Pure Phase Ensemble
Pure Phase Ensemble is an eclectic rotating group of musicians, who come together every year in December during Gdansk’s illustrious SpaceFest!,. The group’s makeup constantly changes, guided by the artistic vision of a new curator every year and directed by Anna Szynwelska and Karol Schwarz of Nasiono Records , who has been responsible for its musical cohesion from the very outset. This current incarnation was led by a true legend: Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, along with Emil Nikolaisen of Scandinavian rock band Serena Maneesh. The six other musicians involved this year were drawn from various Polish alternative bands. They include Karol Schwarz (7faz, KSAS), Olga Mysłowska (Polpo Motel), Maciej Karmiński (Jesień), Marcin Lewandowski (Judy’s Funeral, Castlings, Soon), Jakub Żwirełło (Oslo Kill City, Szezlong), and Kacper Graczyk (Aiodine, coding).
Just ahead of SpaceFest!, Nasiono Records hosts a workshop, with musicians improvising to produce a set of unique songs. These intensive sessions take place at Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art in the city’s Nowy Port district, the artists gathering inspiration amidst its post-industrial atmosphere. The festival then culminates in this music being performed and recorded in real time for the inevitable album release.
‘God Drugs’ is one of the seven tracks recorded for this album. Underlying the importance of festivals like this, Anton Newcombe says, “turn on the fucking radio…then turn it back off. That shit is bad for you. erm…lets have an urban contemporary rap festival everywhere and see what happens. Let’s have more DJ festivals…name one fucking important DJ now that people will respect in 30 years…name a record besides some classic jam that anyone at a club cares about. It’s all disposable. We are all trying to create our own culture because Western culture is dead”.
“I want to help establish SpaceFest! as one of the most important cultural events in Poland and totally relevant in Europe. I would like to be involved on a deeper level. I want to integrate culturally, artistically with all of Europe…well not the fascist part haha, not the neocons…not the Polanski eyes wide shut fuckers… but the artists”.
Another outcome of this latest SpaceFest! is a collaboration between Anton Newcombe and PPE 6 member Kacper Graczyk, which resulted in the track ‘Not Blowing Smoke Up Your Ass’.
In past incarnations of Pure Phase Ensemble, the group was curated by Mark Gardener (Ride), Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab), Ray Dickaty (Spiritualized), Steve Hewitt (Placebo), Jaime Harding (Marion), Chris Olley (Six By Seven), and Hugo Race (The Bad Seeds, The True Spirit).
SpaceFest! has figuratively transformed Gdansk into the intergalactic capital of Poland, presenting psychedelic music at its best with shoegaze, Krautrock and space-rock plus cosmic energy, intergalactic cats, forest goblins, psyched visuals, pagan disco and more. The workshop is organized by the Nasiono Association in cooperation with the Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art, and is co-financed by the City of Gdansk.
Clocking in at just over 44 minutes and priced at just €6.99 ($8.22), Pure Phase Ensemble 6 ‘Live at SpaceFest!’ will be released on CD and digitally on September 29, but can already be pre-ordered via Bandcamp.

RĀI – Love’s On The Way
RĀI (pronounced Ray) is a singer, songwriter and true lover of R&B music. Originally from South Carolina (now residing in Harlem, New York), RĀI’s music is a vibe. He infuses elements of both new and traditional R&B to intentionally create chill, unassuming, timeless music. He sees each song as a piece of art that is influenced more by his life and experiences and not just by what’s hot and trending. R&B has seen changes in style, trends and youth increasingly celebrated over substance, tradition, and maturity but RĀI has an appreciation for all things R&B and believes the two can peacefully exist.
“I’m a singer who grew up loving how R&B music changed the world and made people feel. I’m not changing my music to fit a radio format or gain Instagram followers or whatever. My music is the truest expression of who I am today. I’m trying to create music that people will want to hear next year or the year after that and after that. If it doesn’t pop right now, it doesn’t pop. I am committed to making good music and I’ve found a peace that right now that may not be the most lucrative endeavor and I’m good with that.”
RĀI’s musical inspirations are Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross and Maxwell. With his latest project “Love’s on the Way”, he sought to create an album that was effortless in nature with such a strong vibe that once you pressed play you would just let it ride. And ultimately, that never goes out of style.
“I approached creating my latest project similar to how I imagine a designer approaches creating a collection. Painfully detailed. Each piece unique. Each appealing for different reasons, but it all goes together. I am committed to making good music and I’ve found a peace that right now that may not be the most lucrative endeavor, and I’m good with that.”
Indie artist RĀI brings nostalgia to R&B/soul music fans with the release of his second single “Love’s On The Way,” from his debut album of the same title, due out June 8. Anyone with a love and appreciation for R&B music associated with talented singers like Maxwell and others will love this song!”
– ThisisRnB, April 16, 2018“Rumors of R&B’s demise have been greatly exaggerated over the years. Yes, the genre has seen its fair share of changes, with style, trends and youth increasingly celebrated over substance, tradition and maturity. Nonetheless, there are still artists in that latter category putting in work, such as South Carolina native and current Harlem resident RĀI.“
– SoulBounce, April 12, 2018“This is a performer who, as a writer and singer alike, is a definite proponent of the groove in music, but he isn’t beholden to it. “Back to Life”, like its title perhaps implies, works through a number of well-timed changes that gives the song different looks that, nonetheless, sound like they are part of the same overall package.”
– Indie Band Guru, March 14, 2018“He has a seemingly light touch as a singer…but there’s strength in that delicacy discerning listeners will hear on certain turns of phrase. There are a number of abiding qualities in his singing and two of the most distinctive are heard in how he carefully orchestrates his singing to run alongside the arrangement while never overshadowing it and his phrasing from one refrain to another has subtle distinctions that underline how he never sings anything quite the same way twice.”
