Guitarist Danny Walker tells Punknews, “We got back together a couple of years ago to jam, started recording some stuff, liked the way it was sounding, started playing some shows, and decided to make a full record. We didn’t plan it to be 20 years (since the release of their Maverick Records debut), but here we are. We’re proud of the new record. We’ve got a lot of punk and rock influence, but this album pops on top of all of that.”
Frontman Bobby Amodeo (who interestingly enough is a cannabis chemist by day) says, “WANK is stoked to be back making music. We’ve spent the last year producing our new album, ‘White Knuckle Ride.’ You’ll hear PRD, reggae skank, melodic hooks, and pop harmonies. WANK formed in 1995 in Huntington Beach, CA. Mixing pop sensibility, rock chops, and punk energy, WANK (influenced by the Beatles and the Clash, among others) quickly gained momentum and garnered a reputation for themselves with melodic songs and highly entertaining live shows. In 1996, WANK self-released their debut, Get a Grip on Yourself. Their continuing success as a live act brought them to the attention of producer Mike Ness of Social Distortion, who oversaw the recording of “Larry Brown” for a split 7″ on Time Bomb Records (1997.) Ness also produced WANK on their version of “Auld Lang Syne,” their contribution to the comp, Christmas Gone Wrong (1997.)
In late 1997, “Forgiven” was added to rotation at the World Famous KROQ 106.7 in Los Angeles, and WANK was still unsigned. An industry bidding war ensued, and WANK signed a historic record deal with Maverick Records. In 1998, following an expedited major label re-release of Get a Grip on Yourself, WANK took their show on the road, touring with The Specials, Goldfinger, Social Distortion, and Warped Tour ’98. The band parted ways with Maverick Records in 1999 and focused on other projects.
In 2000, Amodeo was diagnosed with cancer, and after years of treatment, he’s back and rocks ready. Walker formed and fronted Handsome Devil and was signed to RCA in 2001. Handsome Devil released three albums – Love and Kisses (2001), Knock Yourself Out (2004), and Fully Automatic (2007), and toured with The Used, Lit, Zebrahead, and Warped. In 2007, Walker and friends (from Lit, Adolescents, and Cadillac Tramps) formed Rockers in the Round – an acoustic showcase series. Walker released two singer-songwriter albums – Mumble & Strum (2011) and Salvation (2012). Spider focused on session work and artist management, and he’s still the hardest hitting drummer around.
WANK reunited in 2016, self-releasing their 5 song EP – On with the Show and, in 2017, added guitarist Higgins X-13, formerly of the Offspring. In 2018, WANK is in the studio finishing a new full-length album for release. Enjoy – WANK is back.

Joe Settineri – Batman Cries
American Singer/Song-writer Joe Settineri has released the official music video for his deeply moving new single, ‘Batman Cries’. The video was directed by Jared Cordes.

His second full studio album, ‘Beyond Your Control’, was released 2014 and followed up by his most recent EP, ‘Be The One’ in 2017.
Joe’s newest singles, ‘Hello Goodbye’, ‘Batman Cries’, and ‘Oxygen’, all collaborations with multi-platinum Nashville-based producer Mike Krompass (Smash Mouth, Nellie Furtado), are slated for release in Summer and Fall 2018.

Vix 20 – Try Again
VIX 20 return to Goosewing Music with the punchy new single “Try Again”. Following in the wake of previous power pop outings “Digital Age” and “Hashtag Change”, “Try Again” harnesses the thrills of rough-edged seventies pub rock songwriting and turbocharges it with twenty-first-century punk energy.
A complete back to roots for Vix after the electronica of their last single ‘Tron Takes the Train’. This was the first song CJ and Mills wrote together which paved the way for Vix 20 incarnation. The track was originally due out in April but Keyworker commitments kept the boys away from music and now more than ever ‘Try Again’ takes on a deeper relevance although originally penned as an homage to ‘Dammed if you do, dammed if you don’t’ keep patient, and try again!
Vix20 is Gary Mills and CJ, two music industry veterans who grew so disillusioned with the state of every element of the music industry that they both walked away vowing not to return…fast forward a few years, now rejuvenated, though no less prickly about the Modern Age, they return, to quote the band themselves, “we’re hard rockers turned to the dark side of pop”

Third Frame – Round Up The Crew (ft. Them Riverbank Boys & T.B.M.A.)
The Third Frame was formed in 1997 by Ry Gizzy and Ddlux who met in high school in 1990 and formed a bond that has proven to be 25 years strong now. We started playing basement parties with our 1st DJ for a couple years or so and started getting used to being in-front of people. We had some crazy parties I even remember 1 that the whole basement was half filled with those packing Peanutz it was really fun to swim. We made a lot of friends and made our name Third Frame in the scene early because Ry Gizzy and Lux have a dope chemistry.
Then Ddlux and Ry Gizzy started playing some live gigs at Fort Wayne, Indiana area bar Columbia Street West with a popular rock band @ the time. Then we hooked up with a mutual friend from high school which only seemed right and felt good @ the time because he was a very talented musician. We then proceeded to perfect our craft @ playing out and did so for five years straight 2-3 shows a week sometimes for free drinks and a little money if we were lucky.
During that time we made and released 3 CDs, made another rock n roll band “White Trash Disco” so we had an opener, made a video, and played with several national acts. Then Ddlux met Leok3 and DJ Spot and introduced them to Ry Gizzy. We all kinda just clicked together and started making music again because it was fun again and no other reason than that. Soon Spot became our third DJ and for us, we think the third time is a charm. So here we love it or hate it but we will not stop making music until our last breaths. So until then, we wanna thank all the fans and people who enjoy listening to our music we love you…
