‘Bad Timing’, the new song from Foxxglove, releases on May 14th. People say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but they never say it is at the beginning. That was the initial thought I got on that first listen to ‘Bad Timing’. Foxxglove’s vocals with stay with you long after this listen. This song will stay with you because of that alone. But the music has a future classic tinge to it where every note has its place and the hook has a purpose. I’m at a loss for words.

Leaner and with a more rock and pop sound, Tony Steele presents a more accessible version of his massacre with a hook heavy track focusing more on guitar and his unique blend of vocals. Molosser have released their new album titled ‘Appear’. Beginning as a cathartic musical journey, ‘Appear’ is dark, brooding, and, at times, very lucid musically and even spiritually on a certain level. Almost conjuring the spirits of The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, and a few other more obscure artists, not in style but in execution.
Filled with utterly unique chord changes and even more original vocal inflections, ‘Appear’ is most definitely an original concept. Even more so than an album. And that is what makes this an endearing set of songs.

Jammerzine has an exclusive interview with the absolute legends of synth-pop, electronic, MTV Generation, and, above all, original music, in the form of Information Society. Today we talk to Paul Robb, co-founder of INSOC, and their new album titled ‘ODDFellows’. What makes ODDFellows special is, and you will get the information about this in the interview, that this is a spatial collaboration with THX. Yes, that THX. The ones that make everything sound cool and rich. This is, in fact, the first collaboration between THX and a musical artist. And this is one of the many reasons INSOC is considered pioneers in the music industry. Not just to be the first, but to be willing to take the risk.
And, in regards to ‘ODDFellows’, we get plenty of risks. As stated in the interview, there are times where this is a different band and there are times where classic INSOC is there at the forefront. And, to be that original after all of these years is what makes them last. Because it’s fun.

What I mean by that is their talents as musicians and songwriters count on chronicling their life and experiences. And this comes out in such a beautiful and creative way that their music demands a listen. Not hear. A listen.

Space Summit has premiered their new and debut track titled ‘I’m Electric’. A new collaboration resulting from Marty’s ‘The Sessioneer Series‘, between former The Church guitarist Marty Willson-Piper and musician Jed Bonniwell, ‘I’m Electric’ takes the musicianship and songwriting of both and turns them into a stellar new beginning. ‘I’m Electric’ is, to me, the perfect intro-single for a new project. Sonically, it’s as varied as it is original creatively, while also being just plain fun to listen to.
Also featuring Dare Mason on keyboards, who also produced, as well as Olivia Willson-Piper on strings, Eddie John on drums, Anekdoten’s Niklas Barker on Mellotron, and Phoebe Tsen on harmony and backing vocals, Space Summit is clearly an album made by a musical family and presented to the world. Beatific Premieres ‘Sunshine’ EP (The Week in #Indie Segment)
Beatific finally drop their long-awaited EP titled ‘Sunshine’. We originally reviewed their single ‘She Loves Him’ and that was the moment the anticipation began. With the full EP ‘Sunshine’, we get a more complete picture of what Beatific is about and want to accomplish.
Those thick and blended harmonies of the lead single are expounded upon with the rest of the EP present. With added instrumentation such as a serenely played acoustic guitar riff in ‘Perpetual Contemplation of an Infinite Glory’ to the almost retro-esque synth wave of ‘Smile Dangerous’ finalized with an almost purely orchestral rendition of ‘Naftali (My Struggle)’ with a hint of an homage to M83, Beatific solidifies their style and puts forth their intention in the industry as an act that is not only here to stay, but here to play.

An Exclusive Interview with Sa-Roc (The Week in #Indie Segment)
Jammerzine has an exclusive interview with rap pioneer Sa-Roc. This, to me, is one of those interviews that is a privilege to be a part of for the simple fact that talking with Sa-Roc becomes one of those situations where you walk away all the better because you learn something. For one, you learn that becoming famous, much less good doing what you want to do is more than just realizing the dream, its hard work and commitment.
Sa-Roc is the epitome of that and more. She took a vision and learned all of the logistics necessary to achieve and sustain that vision and she did that while finding her own voice. We learn that and more in this interview.
We also learn about her new upcoming album titled ‘The Sharecropper’s Daughter’, which releases on October 2nd. The album is 15 tracks of insight documenting renaissance, revolution, and revelation. We are living in the perfect age for this album.
