Last Days of Jude, a.k.a. Fre Pacheco, has dropped his new video for the track titled ‘Misery’. There are lessons in the lyrics. Lessons to be listened to and heeded. As the song suggests, we are in a time of change and the truth is not only more evident and important but multi-faceted. And ‘Misery captures that in a crystal clear photograph.
To take such a valiant message and place that into a vibrant video for a song so infectious is brilliant not only as a musician but as someone who is keenly aware of the power of music. ‘Misery’ is a manifesto telling us to wake up and. more importantly, to learn. Too often we go through life with our beliefs being fed to us and the truth being filtered through our beliefs. Listen, learn, live, love, and evolve is the evolution that leads to revolution. Let the Last Days of Jude be a lesson to find the first days for our collective and individual awareness.

The Goood Things – Yer Eyes
Keeping up with their ongoing fun and carefree pop rock roots, Japan’s own The Goood Things, triumph yet again with another alt-indie future classic. How these guys (and girl) can continually come up with goood (see what I did there?) songs is a magic I wish I had a bottle of. This song is 2:36 of pure catchy fun!
Amped up to 10 with that goood (oops I did it again!) time summer fun, “Yer Eyes” delivers that beach romp nostalgia filled with cool daily waves and hot summer nights. Cue Avalon and Funicello!

Skyfever Drop New Single ‘Kings’ (The Week in #Indie Segment)
Skyfever is a rock band from Ireland who is breaking through in a big way, with their music being selected for play in a number of famous sports stadiums. Their infectious rock music has filled the stadiums of Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, the Tennessee Titans, the world famous New York Yankees and also at the Carolina Panthers 75,000 seater Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. With this band, rock finds its rightful home!
Legendary rocker Alice Cooper is a fan, and last year he endorsed the band by not only playing their track, The Returning, to listeners of his worldwide-syndicated radio show, Nights with Alice Cooper, but also by personally sharing their track on social media and praising their talent. In fact, radio stations across the USA have recognized Skyfever and they have been played on stations from Philadelphia (WCLH) to Chicago (WZRD) to Nashville, Tennessee (Under the Gun Radio).
The UK has got behind Skyfever too, with Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio) playing their music and the renowned Fred Perry Subculture website name-checking them alongside Otherkin, Heathers and Squarehead as ‘Top 20 Dublin Bands to Watch’.

Kirlian Camera Releases ‘The 8th President’ Video (The Week in #Indie Segment)
Kirlian Camera has released their new video for the track titled ‘The 8th President’. While maintaining their dark presence that has become signature for Kirlian Camera over many years, they have also brought forth an original, almost dystopian visual and audio aesthetic within the video that demands attention. Think of the movie ‘Blade Runner’ when I say this. It’s almost world-building.
The tack is all that one would expect from Kirlian Camera and, in some ways, more. There is a brooding, slow-burning underbelly to ‘The 8th President’ that, in some ways, reflects the current state of isolation and loneliness brought on by the current state of the world. Reflective of the things that are, Kirlian Camera gives a soundtrack to this that leaves more questions than answers and, while most current creativeness shows us what we could be, this shows us what we are. Brilliant.
