Julian Shah-Tayler – Devil Knows
Julian Shah-Tayler a.k.a. ‘The Singularity’ has premiered his new video for the track titled ‘Devil Knows’ on Jammerzine. A vivid combination of pop hit in waiting and electro-rock mix with a solid rhythm and beat, this version of ‘Devil Knows’ gives us a journey into collaboration with sub-bass highlights and sprinkles of synth.
The video captures the antics of a dainty dominatrix played by Eva Strangelove and her day-to-day goings-on from the mundane to the strange giving me the impression that we all have our own lifestyle and what’s normal and not is left to our own interpretation. What’s also normal is the meaning of the song. Loss is a constant in life and how we lose touch with those around us, whether it be from distance in location or distance in views or anything else is normal as well and, through that loss, we always gain a part of ourselves.
ABOUT JULIAN SHAH-TAYLER
Julian Shah-Tayler a.k.a. ‘The Singularity’ presents ‘Devil Knows’, his new swagger-filled single with the A-single featuring the original version, the B-side involves three notable members of alternative rock royalty – David J, MGT (Mark Gemini Thwaite), and drummer Marc Slutsky.
Aptly named ‘Devil Knows Ruby Rock Version’ due to the fact that all three of these collaborators were involved in Peter Murphy’s extensive international Bauhaus Ruby celebration tour. Bassist David J needs no introduction, having founded Love and Rockets and Bauhaus. Mark Gemini Thwaite is best known for his prolific work and touring history with the likes of Tricky, The Mission UK, Peter Murphy, Ashton Nyte, and The Wonder Stuff.
This new track follows hot on the trail of his single ‘Evolution’, which also involves contributions by MGT and Gene Micofsky (and the b-side remix by Mark Gemini Thwaite himself).
“This song is about losing people. The devil is always present when we lose connection with people. The death of Love, a break in the heart. Communication breakdown. But we try and try,” explains Julian Shah-Tayler.
Hailing from Leeds, England and now LA-based, singer, writer and producer Julian Shah-Tayler makes electro-rock new wave ‘intellipop’ for the 30th century. He is currently working with the legendary Robert Margouleff (Stevie Wonder, Devo) on his next album, releasing a few tasters along the way.
Having spent much time as a touring musician, Julian has experienced the pain of meeting and “breaking up with” people every night.
After completing his degree at York University, Julian moved to London as a singer-songwriter with classical training on piano and self-taught on guitar. After several abortive records deals with music industry legend Alan McGee, he joined the hip electroclash outfit Whitey as co-writer/ guitarist, recording many of those songs in his nascent home studio.
After parting ways with his bandmates, Julian moved to L.A. to launch his own project The Singularity. There, he has had considerable success with TV and film licenses, known for his work on ‘Plush’, ‘Riot on Redchurch Street’ and Disney’s ‘Maleficent’. He won a Golden Trailer award, along with Daisy O’Dell, for his work with Lana Del Ray on the trailer for the latter film.
In addition to scoring music with O’Dell for the two-time Emmy winning ‘Actors on Actors’ TV show, his music has been performed for Robert De Niro, Bill Clinton, and Martin Scorsese via the Unite for Humanity charity at the Oscars.
Julian also recorded an unreleased album with Joaquin Phoenix and Antony Langdon (Spacehog), as well as directing Island Def Jam artist Kerli 4 for songs he co-wrote with Siobhan Fahey (Bananarama, Shakespear’s Sister). His remix of Nico’s ‘These Days’ with Daisy O’Dell was featured as KCRW’s “one to watch”. He also co-founded the ‘Art Angeles’ charity, teaching underprivileged kids music in Watts.
When he is not writing and recording original material or producing other artists, Julian Shah-Tayler is selling out venues with his David Bowie tribute band ‘The Band That Fell To Earth’, his Depeche Mode tribute band ‘Strangelove’ and moonlighting as singer-keyboardist in The Cure tribute band ‘The Cured’

The Digital Masquerade – Straight Jacket
Covina, CA based metal band The Digital Masquerade has released the Official Music Video for their single, “Straight Jacket,” off of their full-length LP, Digital Train Time Machine. “Straight Jacket” was directed and edited by renown Society 1 front-man and artist Matt Zane of Lord Zane Productions.
“Straight Jacket,” Digital Masquerade’s first music video, was filmed in Glendale, CA at the old abandoned police facility. The song is a story about getting institutionalize in a criminally insane asylum and tortured. Then the inmates overtake the asylum and escape, which story is visually captured by director Matt Zane.
The Digital Masquerade started back 2013 in the city of Azusa, California. It all started when Kurt and Trevor met each other at a party through Kurt’s old guitarist from his previous band, Sixteen Till. Immediately, they clicked and started jamming. They wrote a couple songs and knew that they had something going, so naturally, they picked up a bassist and drummer and formed ‘The Digital Masquerade’. Before acquiring a bassist and drummer, Trevor and Kurt pretty much wrote the entire first album.
A little while later, they recorded the first album, “Welcome to the Masquerade”. However, before recording had begun, the former bassist had left to join the Air Force. This left Trevor to record all the bass parts. The former drummer had moved to Tennessee after recording and before the album was ever released. With only a singer and a guitarist, the band was going through a bit of a hiatus. Even though all of this had happened, Kurt and Trevor decided to keep the band alive and start jamming again.
They wrote a few more songs before finding a bassist. Trevor had known of a guy that played bass and guitar by the name of Collin. Collin filled in on bass before finding now bassist, Jim. Jim had been in a band Mind-vent on the east coast and moved to California. After being recruited to play bass, Collin then moved to rhythm guitar.
Now with Kurt on lead vocals, Trevor on lead guitar, Collin on rhythm guitar and Jim on bass, all the band needed was a drummer. This brings us to Red. Red had found an ad on craigslist for a band seeking a drummer and immediately contacted them. The band asked if he could try out and he did. They immediately connected and thus completing The Digital Masquerade. With a complete band, they recorded their first album together, Digital Train Time Machine. They played a few local shows, promoting their album. Then set out for more rewarding shows. They received their first show in the “light” at The Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, Ca.
They opened up for Circus of Power and got great reviews. Since then they have opened for other national acts such as Stephen Pearcy from Ratt, LA Guns, Dizzy Reed from Guns N’ Roses, Motograter etc.. They since have been playing and continuing to write music. They recently made a music video for their single, “Straight Jacket” in which they are touring to promote it along with writing new material to be recorded in the fall of 2017.

My Secret Circus – The War Game
New video footage obtained through secured, Australian sources have revealed a potential meeting between the US and North Korean governments, proving that the on-again, off-again negotiations for a peace summit between President Donald Trump and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un are more ongoing than previously acknowledged. The video shot at an undisclosed location appears to document the two leaders meeting in a typically judicious fashion to determine the future relationship of the mutually antagonistic powers.
The encounter, clearly witnessed by an international audience of diplomatic and political power players that seemed to include, Russian President Vladimir Putin, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, My Secret Circus, and what looks to be a hookah smoking Zombie Bin Laden, reveals the previously underestimated negotiation skills of the oppositional leaders. Throughout the meeting, witnesses are confirmed to be appropriately contributing to the globally critical arbitration between the staid and decorous commanders, and the audience ultimately supports the appeasement goals achieved in the secret summit meeting.
We…have …the Korean summit commemorative coins Trump’s people had made up. Maybe they can become the official currency of the apocalypse?
– Jimmy Kimmel“…President Trump announced that he is calling off his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. After he broke it off, Trump told him that he could have custody of Don Jr.”
– Jimmy Fallon“In his letter, Trump’s like, ‘I can wipe your country out with a level of nuclear force you can’t even comprehend… but I’m here for you if you need to talk.'”
– James Corden“I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged US dotard with fire,”
– Kim Jong Un“We really wanted to do something that’s happening now. ‘The War Game’ track is tough, strong and makes a statement about a real-life war that’s happening, which we don’t see as we go about our everyday lives. Where on the other hand the video has the quirky side. (No world leaders were hurt in the making of the video) Haha! It’s a piss take for those with a sense of humor but the song is very serious. ”
