Half the Animal – Bad Bad Love
Formed in 2016, Los Angeles-based alternative rock quartet Half the Animal produces an infectious sound, which blends catchy, hook-laden rock attitude and pop-driven styles. Originally founded by vocalist Chase Johnson and drummer Nick Gross—who were featured cast members in the hit MTV reality TV series ‘Laguna Beach’ during their formative days as the band Open Air Stereo—Half the Animal also includes bassist Evan Smith (Silversun Pickups/Chromeo/Big Data) and classically trained guitarist Dan Graham.
Half the Animal made an impact with their memorable debut single “Babylon,” a grandiose, stadium-sized rock anthem that became the band’s first-ever viral hit, garnering over 1 million streams online, collectively, since its release in July 2016. The song quickly earned the band nationwide industry attention and strong radio support on multiple SiriusXM channels, including Top 40 radio station Hits 1 and The Pulse, as well as regular airplay on tastemaker Los Angeles stations ALT 98.7 and KROQ, which featured Half the Animal on their celebrated Locals Only program. Collectively, Half the Animal also count over 1 million YouTube views to date and have been featured on ‘Billboard’ and Ones to Watch (Live Nation).
In fall 2017, Half the Animal released the successful follow-up single “Bad Bad Love” via the group’s independent imprint Noise Nest Records. Featuring a lush soundscape built atop hypnotic vocal melodies, piercing piano chords and dreamy synths, the track was highlighted on Spotify’s influential New Music Friday playlist. The band also launched a 33-date US Fall tour in September 2017 alongside Atlas Genius in support of the track.

The Colour You – Set Me Free
Alternative Rock Band The Colour You has released the official music video for their single, “Set Me Free.” “Set Me Free” was filmed and directed by Sidney Lee Lopez.
“Essentially, ‘Set Me Free’ is about questioning whether or not someone could/should be a means of escape from the hell in your head. On one side you’ve got this damaged soul looking for an escape, and on the other, there is this beautiful angel-like figure who’s intrigued by the danger of this damaged “bad boy” image, but not quite brave enough to be that escape.”
– Julian Comeau (Vocals)The Colour You is an American rock band from Baton Rouge, LA. Formed in 2016, TCY puts an interesting twist on the genre by blending hard-hitting, energetic guitar riffs, huge anthemic choruses with melodic vocal melodies, and infusing them with dark modern pop elements.

Kenny Dubman – Off The Leash
“Reckless Abandon” is the first solo effort from NJ native and lifelong six-stringer Kenny Dubman, a veteran of 3 albums with NJ melodic rockers Prophet. Loaded with earthy, organic 70’s influenced hard rock, Reckless Abandon will most certainly fill a gaping void in today’s musical climate.
“I wanted to make a song record first; making a guitar record was never really part of the equation,” says Dubman, though guitar fans will likely want for nothing on this offering. Blending elements of Bad Company, Deep Purple, Kansas, and Lynyrd Skynyrd with subtle hints of Queen, Ozzy, Montrose, Pink Floyd, and Rush, Reckless Abandon pays homage to it’s 70’s rock roots while still forging an identity of its own….due in no small part to Dubman’s powerful, raspy vocal performances.
Lyrically, Reckless Abandon tackles some deep and dark subject matter; not much boy-meets-girl fare on this record. “I’m not sure where these song ideas came from; I feel like they were channeled through me rather than originated within….like I didn’t really write them. I think the great Tony Joe White sums this syndrome up best: ‘….the music is all given to me anyway. Writing and playing and doing music, not for the benefit of having a number one record, just to let it out of your soul, means somebody has fed it down to you.’ That’s right on the money”. Origin non-withstanding, Kenny Dubman has created (or channeled) something special on this record.
